Installation of Composers at George Lawson

George Lawson hung 19 of my Composers Series for the current show: 6 in the foyer and 13 in the Room for Painting.

It was densely hung, which I liked.
I wanted to overwhelm the viewers if I could.

George likened the space between the works to columns in a temple consecrated to composers.

Here you can see a bit around the corner into the foyer.

I didn't find out until after the opening that Isabel Allende had purchased one of the paintings, Prokofiev, for her son and daughter-in-law, Nico Frias and Lori Barra.

George and me in front of Gavin Bryars and Prokofiev.

It looks like it was a gorgeous and successful installation and a very
