In prep for mounting a show of my work at Dominican University in San Rafael, I made up a small cardboard model, printed out to-scale images of the work and taped them in place. If it works out as planned, we'll be showing 33 works!
The show will be hung in the exhibition area of the library: three rooms plus a wall a few yards away.
There will be works-on-paper-mounted-on-wood, as well large paintings on canvas, all done over the last four to five years.
Works include pieces that have been shown at various times in Shanghai, San Francisco, Nashville and New York.

this makes so much more sense than simply drawing a plan!
ReplyDeleteIt really helped me a lot, and we hung the show almost exactly the way we planned it with the model.
