Summon Me!

“You’ve a dozen pots of paint on your right, a hundred brushes on your left, and you’re driving around the studio full speed with the music cranked up loud––Prokofiev, say, or Shostakovich––but you’re not listening to the music, you’re listening for the voice that will instruct: paint me red, paint me blue! And suddenly you’re the luckiest person in the world because the voice begins to speak.”

Summon Me! is a show of works created from 2008 thru 2012 at
The Dominican University of California, San Rafael, CA, 94901

05 June thru 25 August 2013

The first of three galleries contains 8 paintings from my Composers Series (painted 2009-2010; first shown in 2011 at George Lawson Gallery, San Francisco):

The artist thanks the three galleries mentioned for providing venues in the past, and The Dominican University of California for allowing him to show these works together at this time. Thanks, especially, to Sandra Chin for her help with this show.
